our service to horse donors
If you either want or need to find a new home for your horse, then you may wish to consider donating him or her to our nonprofit organization. By doing so, you will receive a legal tax deduction for his or her current fair market value, which may be easier and more advantageous to you than selling. Confer with your accountant to see if this would be a good option for you. In addition, by donating to us you are assured that your horse will be matched with pre-qualified, loving new home. Read our testimonials; contact our clients; and check our references. Please note, however, that we are not an equine rescue, and can only consider sound, healthy, broke horses. Strict conditions apply to horses we can accept, which are listed on the next page.

Got a nice saddle you don’t use anymore? We also accept the donation of saddlery and tack.

Dragonshire Stables

other services we offer
In addition to our popular horse donation and re-homing program, Dragonshire Stables offers horse leasing, boarding, training services, riding lessons, and trail ride packages. You can also get great prices here on nice pre-owned saddles and tack. Check back with us frequently for updates.
our service to horse buyers
When we accept a donated horse, he or she is brought to Dragonshire and given a week or more to relax and settle in. After this, they go through an assessment period in which their health, personality and training level is determined. If they need shots or farrier care, they get it. If they need training or mild behavior modification before going to their future home, they get that, too. Once where we want them, the matching process begins to find the perfect new home. Those who come to us for horses are fine people, ranging from professional trainers, riding students, competitors, and trail riders, to ranchers and others who want to know they’re getting a good horse for a good price from a reputable resource they can trust. Most of our buyers come to us through the referral of friends who got their horses here.
our service to children
Theodore Roosevelt said, “To educate a man in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society.” We strongly believe that, which is why Knights of The Guild and our community partners have been helping schoolchildren learn how to become noble people for over a decade. Many more campuses need and want our character education programs, and have no way to afford them on their own. All proceeds derived from the sale of donated horses help make that assistance possible. Donating your horse to us, therefore, is a winner for you, the horse, the new owner, and the kids.
